Maximuscle helps to fuel fighter for boxing showdown.

After a career to be envied, as a kick boxing champion and veteran of the Brutal K1 circuit in Japan, Matt Skelton who converted to professional boxing just 19 months ago, victoriously lifted the British and Commonwealth belt, taken from Michael Sprott, who he stopped by KO in the 12th final round at the Reading Sports Centre on Saturday 24th April 2004, making him the English, British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion.

Matt fought aggressively throughout, tearing into Sprott right from the first bell, his direct approach, bigger punches and constant work rate proved too much for Sprott, who could do nothing to fend Matt off in the final round when Matt summoned up the reserve of further tireless energy for one last attack which saw Sprott knocked to the floor, only clambering to his feet at the count of nine, at which time the referee ruled it was all over.

Comment by Matt Skelton after the fight:
"I wanted it badly and I have to pinch myself that I've got it" he added " I knew Sprott had a lot more experience than me and I sat down with my team and discussed how to approach it, I knew I'd have to bully the fight and that's what I've done! Experience is one thing I am not going to get but I am not hanging around and I'm not ducking anyone! My ultimate goal is to fight for a World title and I haven't left it too late. There are guys younger than me who've had some real wars and this is the fittest I've been throughout my career."

Matt who is already well known for his hard punches and incessant work rate, has been working closely with Maximuscle and their team of sports scientists to ensure that he has had the correct supplement regime for each fight and especially that he had all areas covered for his recent fight, making sure he increased his recovery rate, strength, stamina and overall well being throughout his recent tough training regime.
